The highlight of our spring break was the mini-vacation to Escanaba. The kids were so excited to go, they had their bags packed three days ahead of time. Swimming was the biggest thriller but Clare was also excited about the continental breakfast. And I think after this trip, Karl will be too. Here he is, eating a huge doughnut covered in chocolate chips which he artfully arranged himself.
The layout of the pool. It had four "leaves" in a four-leaf clover shape. Each leaf was a different depth: 2' deep, 3' deep, 4' deep and 5' deep. That made it so nice for the kids because many pools have 3' as the shortest depth and most of the pool is way over their heads. The volcano in the middle spouted water, as did two small fountains near the stairs. The pool was also a lot warmer than most hotel pools so the kids didn't get cold as quickly (another nice feature).
Washing off the chlorine (and trying to catch the water dripping on her hands):
The pool room was LOUD, with the fountain going and all the noise from kids laughing and splashing.
All in all, a great vacation and one that the kids won't forget anytime soon. They are already begging to go back to that hotel. Karl showed me one of his dollar bills and said, "Is this enough to go back to that hotel?" Not quite, buddy!

It looks like you had a fun Break! Your Nora is like my XuBin... such water bugs! Ezra will not put his face in the water or go under water yet... maybe we'll work on that this summer.
