Little Helpers

Karl plays his Leap Pad.

The kids were playing with rice today: Karl had a cake pan full and was driving his construction vehicles around in it; Nora had a smaller container filled with rice and some little animals that she was feeding rice to with a spoon.  It's so interesting to see their personalities and interests - neither would have enjoyed what the other was doing but both could have fun with the rice.

And then, of course, we had to clean up.  Rice littered the kitchen floor, but Karl was thrilled for the excuse to use our new vacuum.  He actually did a somewhat decent job, although Quality Control still had to come through later.   You can watch a video of it here.  

And Nora just loves those dollies.  Today she was rocking them and "singing" them to sleep, which sounded like "Da-da-da-da".
