Kayaking

Saturday turned out to be gorgeous, sunny and warm.  We took Clare kayaking in the later afternoon.  She was so excited to get in a boat that she didn't even fuss about getting her life jacket on.

She loved having her own little "paddle".

 

About two miles up this creek is where Matt proposed.  :-)

After paddling, Clare chased gulls on the beach and found "puppy treats" (rocks) in the water.  The water is so warm this time of year, but still refreshing especially when the breeze blows over wet skin.  On hot days, the best place to be (in my opinion) is on or near or in the water.  :-)
