Several blogs I follow have traded pretty backgrounds for extra-large photos and I've opted to do the same. Seeing how often I bothered to change backgrounds, this is probably a good choice for me.
Actually, you can still have pretty backgrounds w/ extra big photos too. :) If you go into the design portion of your blog there are tons of cool backround images to choose to go with your layout. :) If you want, that is. :)
