We have had such a cold winter (for us). Most days are in the single digits or teens; we've had few days in the 20s and only 2 days above freezing in the past two months (that I can remember anyway). On a rare day with sunshine and warmth, we got out the sidewalk chalk.
Our annual visit to the Escanaba area. The kids had a blast at the new water park.
We don't usually do anything for Valentine's day, but I borrowed a friend's idea to have a special family meal with candles. The kids loved it! Our meal was one of our favorites: homemade waffles with berry sauce and whipped cream and wild-rice-venison sausage on the side. It's like dessert for dinner. Clare made Italian sodas for everyone, complete with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
Our Valentine flowers of planted tulips. I hope they will transfer to my summer garden and come up again next year.
