Animal update

Life is so busy right now, a picture will have to be worth a thousand words.

Trip to Steve's farm to pick out lambs.

Lambs at home.  Clare named the lambs this year: Twilight and Midnight.  Twilight has a white "star" on the top of her head.

Our 22 new pullets have a refuge behind these pallets to get away from the big hens if needed.

Ducky the Turkey is growing bigger!  He (or she) is very mellow.  As I write this Nora is saying, "Hi Ducky! How are you today?"

Doe with newborn fawn in field.  LOVE living out here!!

Steve plowing our field.  He planted it yesterday in oats and hay which he'll harvest for his animals and leave a bale for our lambs.  We have a ram coming this fall (!!!) and are considering keeping one ewe and raising our own baby lambs.  It's crazy how God works things out because I had been thinking how sweet these new lambs are and wondering what it would be like to have one bred and have our own baby lambs.  The next day, Matt came home and showed me a picture of a young ram that one of his student's parents wants to part with.  Ironic because I hadn't said anything to him about it.
