Snow statues
The morning began with Nora feeding Molly as she usually does. The older kids have lost the excitement that the job of feeding Molly entails, but Nora, every morning, eagerly slides off my lap where we've been reading books and tries to run to Molly's dog bowl in the kitchen. She needs help measuring: if it were up to her, Molly would be a very happy dog... and then a very sick dog. If Nora spills, as usually happens, she likes to toss Molly each piece individually. Feeding Molly can be a very long process.
Matt came home from work early so we could see the snow statues. This year's theme was something like "As snow accumulates at alarming rates, we show our love to the 50 states". Thankfully for the theme, a decent amount of snow has fallen in the past month. Not an alarming amount, but enough to make this year feel normal.
Karl left his black snow pants at our friends' house so for now he's in lavender. He had fun walking to see all the statues, refusing to ride in the sled.
Nora rode for awhile and then walked a bit and then was carried back to the van. As always on an adventure in cold weather, I plan to take a lot of photos and then get home to realize I've only taken two or three.
