More snow fun

With the long winters up here, we get plenty of time to play in the snow. This winter especially has been nice, with milder temperatures and deep snow to play in.

Nora fell sound asleep on one of our outings.  Karl is just relaxing after walking a long way.

He loves walking and running on the ski trails.

These kids love books.  (This has nothing to do with snow, but they're cute.)
Peeking through windows in their snow fort.
Jumping down the big snow hill near our house.
The kids were so excited to have cousins to play with.  Clare especially loved having kids her own age who could climb as well as she could (or better).

These two had so much fun together.

Decorating a snow man (and a snow fort).  Clare didn't want her cousins to go home.

On a snowshoe outing.
After their cousins went home, Karl asked me to play Legos with him.  I noticed his Lego truck was built correctly (after it had been mostly destroyed and some pieces had gone missing) and I asked him about it.
"Ben helped me," he said, but it sounded like "Bun help me" which didn't make any sense.  Finally I realized that his cousin Ben (9 years old) had helped him build it back the way it was supposed to be.  It was cute to see that despite being six years apart in age, the two boys had had fun together.
