It's crazy how fast those three years went by. Karl is such a mellow little guy. He plays well on his own but likes to play with his sisters too. He's standing up to his bossy older sister and has stopped body-slamming his younger sister (thankfully). He loves listening to stories as long as they're about things that go. He's branched out recently into space ships and boats, giving us a wider selection of books to choose from at the library. Fire trucks, construction, and monster trucks are still his favorite. He's been acting out being a fireman, a monster truck, etc. with plenty of loud noises and running through the house. He loves tickles and snuggles and being swung around in the air. He's got a temper when things don't go his way but he bounces back to smiles pretty quickly.
Karl wanted a "construction cake" for his birthday. Baking a simple 9x13 and putting toys on top is my idea of a great cake (as long as it's the Grandma's Chocolate recipe). He was pretty excited about it too.

Amy, he is so cute! I was just looking at pics on fb from when Logan and Jeni got married and I remembered that your little Karl was born the same weekend. I think it's time to change your sidebar pics of the kids though. ;)
