Spring Break and Easter

For spring break we left behind a land of ice and snow in favor of sunny blue skies and bare grass.  Just traveling west a couple of states made a difference weather-wise.  Clare was so excited to get out of the van and RUN.  (Our yard was still full of snow when we left, only the deck and short gravel driveway were clear.)  When we reached Grandma and Grandpa's in MN, Clare ran up and down the driveway, stretching her legs.  She was already on the swing, happily pumping away as the rest of us went in for dinner.

Michigan and Wisconsin - snow, snow, snow.

Voluntary hugs.... the best kind!

Everything goes in the mouth...

Karl loves tractors, it's too bad he wasn't wearing one of his John Deere shirts.
We celebrated Easter at home; the kids loved finding their eggs and looking in their Easter baskets.  Clare ate ALL her Easter candy that day.  She was buzzing.  (She did share some with Karl, which is probably why he saved his.)

I have to chuckle at the Easter candy. My siblings and I used to eat all of ours in a day or two as well. I remember being at your house and marveling that you (or your brother) still had Halloween candy left months after trick or treating.
