Grand Marais Annual Camping Trip

On the shore of Lake Superior. Love the sandy beaches.

My family all gathered in Grand Marais over the 4th of July for our annual camping trip.  Ten adults, eleven kids, five tents, six vehicles and two trailers on three camping sites made for a tight squeeze.

 It was pretty chilly this year.  The first two days were long pants and sweatshirt days, unusual for July.  We were glad we brought winter hats for early morning and evening.

 Waiting for the parade to start.  Karl LOVES trucks - hence the wide open mouth and pointing hand.  He was pretty excited about all the four wheelers too.

Clare's parade wave has garnered her a LOT of candy over this summer.

Waiting for the fireworks to start.  We split up this year: Matt watched the show near the tent where Karl was sound asleep and I took Clare down to the beach.  She enjoyed them.
