Christmas in MN

On the road!  (We were admittedly quite squished in our Subaru.  Matt & I spent the trip dreaming of minivans...)

We didn't know when little Karl was going to arrive, so Christmas plans were put on hold until after he was born.  Thankfully we were still able to travel to MN to spend Christmas with Matt's family as this was the year all of his siblings would be there too.

A few majestic elk were feeding near the roadside in Wisconsin.  Molly got super excited and started her high pitched I-want-to-go-chase-them whine.

Clare had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's house, though at age 2 and 1/2 she was still more concerned with the wrapping paper than the presents.  Stopping to put each piece of wrapping paper in the garbage bag before tearing off more made the present opening go really slow!

One of Clare's favorite presents was a jump rope.  Someday she'll learn she's supposed to actually jump over the rope, and the rope is supposed to be swung up over her head.  In the meantime she's having a lot of fun!

I absolutely ADORE Clare's Christmas dress! Did someone make it for her or did you find it in a store somewhere?

I'm glad you had a good trip to MN, esp so soon after Karl's birth. How is that little pumpkin doin'? We need to see more pics. :)
