I've been meaning to write this post since Thanksgiving but just haven't gotten around to it.

It's easy to think, "I wish I had that..." or "If I only had this..." especially when money is tighter on one income.  It's easy to think (and dwell on) all the things I wish I had instead of the many wonderful things I do have.

What I'm Thankful For:
Jesus and His amazing gift of Life, the God who loves me more than anyone else ever can or will, my thoughtful, caring husband, our sweet, sweet baby girl, our families, family living nearby, our home which at times feels small but is far larger than most homes in the world, our health, our well-behaved dog and not-so-well-behaved cat, my husband's main job and side jobs too, the gift of being able to be a stay-at-home mom, to see my sweet daughter wake up every day with a smile on her face, to spend time baking cookies and preparing homemade meals (can't say I'm thankful for housework, but I do appreciate a clean house once I finally get around to cleaning it).  I'm thankful for having learned to read and having books to read, for paper and pens to write with, for little conveniences that make life easier, for hot showers in the mornings and soft pillows to fall asleep on at night, for snow drifting down outside while we're cozy and warm inside, for hot cocoa and a good mug of tea...  this list could go on and on, but I hear my baby stirring so I should wrap it up.
