Playing catch-up again!

A week ago Monday we had our first snow of the season.
I awoke to a gorgeous morning.
Winter has a magical way of hiding the brown, dead look of fall.

I ordered this snowsuit off eBay but it's a little large!  :-)

Clare loves Molly!  I can't say yet that Molly loves Clare,
but she tolerates Clare very well and finds her somewhat interesting.

Grandma K found this exersaucer at a garage sale. Clare loves it. I love it because it gives her a chance to learn to bear weight on her legs. Having spent so much time in her harness, she wasn't sure what her little legs were for.

And one last reminder of fall...  Our giant sunflowers grew to nearly their 12' description on the package and they each had one gigantic head of seeds.  The seeds are edible too!  Not all the shells actually had seeds inside, but the ones that did tasted really good.  Unfortunately, it was more work than it was worth to weed through the shells that had seeds versus the ones that didn't.  I had grand plans to salt and bake them in the oven, but I ended up eating the good ones raw instead.  I'll have to plant this kind again when Clare's older so she can see where sunflower seeds come from.
