Poor girl.
Clare's been on medication for a potential case of pertussis... her cousin had it awhile ago and she was exposed. Since she was coughing last Thursday and Friday, the dr. thought it best to prescribe antibiotics to prevent worse symptoms should she actually have it (the test results should be in tomorrow).
Tonight was her last night to take her meds and of course I put her to bed without giving it to her. When I remembered only five minutes later she was already sound asleep. I had to decide whether to wake her or save the dose for the morning. I decided to wake her and, upset as she was, she ended up spitting up a fair amount of her final dose... I hope not too much got lost as it spilled down her cheek and onto her shirt. (In hindsight I wish I would have tried scooping some of it quickly off her cheek and back into her mouth but I was already frazzled from disturbing her sleep.) Thankfully she went back to sleep easily but not before giving me a reproachful look for having woken her up. Ah well. At least I don't have to try remembering to give it to her in the morning.

Amy, I hope it's nothing... the mind games and the unsettled feelings about our little ones not feeling good don't get any better with each new cold... well, at least not for my Ellie who has the cold induced Asthma with EVERY single cold she gets.
