In John 15:5, Jesus tells his disciples (and all of us): "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
Apart from me, you can do nothing.
...apart from me, you can do nothing.
So why do I try to do things by myself ALL the time?
And what does it really mean to abide in Him to such an extent that our relationship really is like a vine and a branch?
What would my day look like if I were truly to abide in Him? Would I need to get up earlier so I can begin my day with prayer? Would I have more patience with my students if I am abiding in Him? Would I have more love and time for others who desperately need it?
